This is our campground of choice for a quick weekend away. EASY access from route 78, sites are big, level and lots of pull throughs. BIG RIG friendly! Because they don't have many activities they don't seem to fill up and we can always get in last minute. It's always been nice and quiet. Good little diner close by but that's about it for close by things to do. Like I said, easy weekend away. A little pricey for the lack of activities - that's why it gets a 9 instead of 10.

I am writing this in May of 2009 even though I stayed here in September of 2008 because I am still battling with Stink Bugs that got into my rig from this campground. We had just purchased our new motorhome that day and went immediately to Yogi Bear's Jellystone at Hagerstown. Our rig was instantly covered with THOUSANDS of these bugs. They got into everything. The outside of our RV was SOLID with them - it was disgusting. It is 8 months later and we still have them. Now we only kill about 100 on any given weekend. They have gotten into our house and the car that we tow. When we alerted the campground, they didn't care. They just handed us a brochure about the bugs. We wrote to corporate headquarters and they didn't care either. We will NEVER stay at another Yogi Bear's Jellystone. CAMPERS BEWARE!

We had a pull through site on a flat area of grass which worked well. The back to back hook-ups means you are set up facing your neighbors front door like you are sharing a site with them. Weird! Many seasonals but well maintained. Not the friendliest campground but it worked for our needs. Big rigs with slides should try to get into the Sparrow row - easiest maneuvering.

We have a 38' Fifth Wheel with 3 slide outs. We told the campground this info when making our reservations and requested a pull through site but none were available. They put us in what they promised was a large easy back-in site. We arrived after dark in the rain. This campground is beautifully treed and very hilly with large boulders scattered about. To get to our site we had to go up to the top of a hill, make a severe 180 degree turn, all the while trying to miss the trees and boulders in order to make our way onto the road where our site was. On the way down the steep hill, we discovered our site. Boulders, trees, other RVs made it impossible to back into our site - in the dark in the rain. Keep in mind we had to back up UP HILL - pushing 15,000 lbs of trailer - to try to get into this site. Our truck started to spit transmission fluid to the point our transmission failed. NIGHTMARE! If you have a large trailer or 5th - get a pull through at this campground!
